Some of my favorite things at play here, Reese’s, cartoon monkeys wearing striped accessories, and 80s nostalgia! Who doesn’t remember those great Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup commercials from the 80s where the people crash into each other accidentally mixing their peanut butter and chocolate only to discover the two great tastes that taste great together!? Reese’s really should bring those back…

Anyway, thanks to Dad and Paulette for taking us to the Monkey Island Bar in Florida that was ultimately the inspiration for this cartoon. Sure, they weren’t rhesus monkeys on the island but they sure were cute. And inspiring. So be it!

Astronuts is yet another cartoon idea from Luke. My little genius. He’s been asking me to draw this one for weeks now so finally here it is. I hope he approves!
