About ...

 

Born February 5, 1969, I have loved to draw, especially cartoons, for as long as I can remember. Art was my first love academically, but as the daughter of a left-brained chemist father, practicality was always my first pursuit and so I claimed my bachelor’s degree in communications from Rutgers University in 1991. Shortly after graduation I became a successfully employed graphic designer (and not a starving artist which was obviously the goal!)

 

"Sheeesh!" was born in 1993 and originally shared via fax. Not a great way to share on a large scale I quickly abandoned faxing and just piled away new cartoons in a portfolio. When email became available I used it for a few mass mailings but I didn't want to spam my friends and family, so I didn't share-the-sheeesh that way for very long either. Finally, in 2007 my New Year's Resolution was to build a website, create a weekly subscription based cartoon blog, and post a new cartoon every Wednesday for as long as I had followers. Now in 2012, I'm happy to say that not a single Wednesday has gone by since the first post without a new cartoon!
